Stick to baseball, 1/22/22.

I’m still grinding away on the top 100, with more than half of the player capsules written so far. It’ll run on January 31st, followed later that week by the column of guys who just missed. The team-by-team reports will run the week after. I have a podcast episode ready to roll that should be up any day now.

My latest review at Paste covers The Rocketeer: Fate of the Future, a two-player game from Funko based on the cult classic Disney film, which is itself about to get a reboot.

  1. The Bengals stadium figure is staggering and then I realized the article is from six years ago so that figure is even higher now. Since then, four other stadiums have opened bringing even more enhancements and upgrades that the county has to pay for. Joe Burrow is exciting and all, but wow…

  2. The proposed Florida statute is a howler. The very people who chafe most at a book like White Fragility proceed to demonstrate its central premise in seemingly unironic fashion. It was always pretty obvious that their protestations about safe spaces, political correctness and “snowflakes”!were less about principle than partisanship, but this obliterates any claim to the former.

  3. Man, that Uline story is infuriating. I handle some of the purchasing where I work and I really want to stop using them now. However, they also make some more specialized supplies that have a much smaller number of suppliers, which means I’d have to convince my bosses to switch vendors and spend more money. Unfortunately, I also think most of my co-workers would agree with where the founder spends his money, so I’m not optimistic of making progress.

  4. My wife left our dog’s heartworm medication box on the counter. In big letters, it had the drug names. Main ingredient? Ivermectin.

So, people taking Ivermectin are taking doggy heartworm medication. It’d be funny it wasn’t so sad.

  5. Seems OAN really did try to cut down the mightiest tree in the forest WITH….a Herring.
