Stick to baseball, 10/13/18.

No Insider content this week, but I’ll have at least two posts next week from the Arizona Fall League. I did hold a Klawchat on Thursday, and did a Periscope video chat Friday (in which I played a little guitar too).

I’m hoping to get another edition of my free email newsletter out before I fly to Arizona on Sunday, so feel free to sign up for my most random and disconnected thoughts.

If you live in east-central Pennsylvania, I’ll be at the Manheim Library in Manheim, PA, on October 22nd at 6:30 pm to talk Smart Baseball and whatever else you desire.

And now, the links…

  1. Using “Professor” as honorific regardless of rank is indeed the most common usage. Rank is usually only conveyed in the context of communicating a specific job title. So fine to say “Professor Jones is Assistant Professor of History at the University of Vermont.”

  2. I’m excited for thirsty Dice! I’d love to check it out with fellow readers and lend a new business some support.

  3. Last season’s Top Chef Fan Favorite, Fatima Ali, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and given one year to live. There is a GoFundMe out there to help her with expenses. Here is an article in her words about her plans.

Just dispacable. To be determined if the GOP sec of state presses charges.

I also do a lot of work on reservations and they all have challenging mailing addresses. Sometimes finding places is really hard cause it’ll be rt. 180 and rt. 260 mile marker 17.
