Two new draft blog entries.

Mike Leake report. Waiting on video.

A quick discussion of Derek Tatsuno, one of the best college pitchers ever.

And, in a complete non sequitur, one of my favorite old Sesame Street sketches:

Looks like Sesame Workshop is throwing vintage sketches up on Hulu, which means much higher video quality than the (legally questionable) clips posted on Youtube by viewers and fans.

  1. Will you be pouring out a bit of your Guinness for FutureRedbirds this weekend? What’s the next best StL minors blog?

  2. Connecticut Mike

That Sesame Street clip was tremendous. I was always partial to those aliens that would float down and say things like “yip-yip-yip tele-phone”.

  3. I’m still trying to figure out how he did that…lol.

My favorite Cookie Monster “sketch” actually wasn’t even on Sesame Street, it was on Family Guy. In one of their ‘flashback’ segments, CM is in rehab for cookie addiction. The funniest part was when they found him in a bathroom stall lighting a pipe filled with cookie dough.

  4. Ahahaha that was amazing. The cookie monster is such a fantastic character.

  5. Keith, watching the WBC and Phillippe Aumont looks like he could be pretty good. Why was he left out of your top 100 (hopefully I didn’t accidentally miss his name), and what is your report of him?

  6. Video is fuzzy but one of my faves:

  7. Thanks Mark, that was cool. I bet the pig reminds Kermit of Miss Piggy…

  8. Keith,

Don’t ignore the important questions!!! I know you were not a fan, but do you have any intention of seeing the Watchmen movie? I fall in your camp re: the comic book, but from reading Shysterball and some other sites, you would think it was literature and the movie an all-time great. I’m curious to read your thoughts regarding the adaptation.
