Radio etc.

I’ve been slacking on the blog here as I write predraft content, but I’ve got some radio coming up – today at 4:15 on our Nashville radio affiliate, at 4:40 on our Madison (WI) affiliate, at 6:15-ish on ESPN 890 here in Boston, and at 6:30 on the FAN 590 in Toronto (that’s for my buddies at DrunkJaysFans). I’ll be on AllNight tonight with guest host Amy Lawrence. I’m also trying to schedule something on Bernie Miklasz’ show in St. Louis for Wednesday.

In the meantime, check out one of the best food blogs, I’ve ever seen, Chocolate and Zucchini, written by an impossibly cute Parisian native who worked as a software programmer before becoming a full-time food blogger and author. The post to which I linked is about her loathing of hotel breakfasts, which you all know I share, and her makeshift solution to the problem, which I admire but refuse to follow on grounds that one of my rewards for taking business trips is bacon.

And if I catch my breath, I’ve got some eats to write up and that Calvino book too.

  1. The dish has radio affiliates? Wow, quite an empire you’re building there, Mr. Law.

  2. Keith, since the Giants have only two of the top 100 picks in the draft, should they go for a high-upside guy like Tim Beckham (if by some strange occurrence he drops) or Kyle Skipworth or should they focus more on a polished player, such as Alvarez (if he drops) or Smoak?

Also, do you have any food recommendations for Oakland? Thanks.

  3. *only three of the top 100, sorry about that

  4. I finally found something I disagree with you about Keith. I don’t find Clotilde Dusoulier cute at all, let alone impossibly so. I also find her tone slightly annoying, but thats beside the point. I guess the radio appearances but no mention of the chat means no Klaw-chat again this week 🙁 We look forward to your return.

  5. There will be a Klaw-chat this Thursday, then next Wednesday and Friday. I was going to post a reminder Thursday morning.

I’ve only seen Clotilde in pictures, not in person, so perhaps she’s just photogenic. And I’m almost as partial to French women as I am to Italian women.

  6. Keith, thanks for referring us to another good site/blog. More importantly, the girl is cute for the most part, that is if in fact you are piqued by the “European look.” Let’s just hope there’s enough fluoride in the water near Monmartre.

  7. All, in case you’d like to see/hear her in video form, go here:

  8. My wife really hopes I’m into the “European look” you know, since she’s Estonian and all. I feel like I am. I’m not into her look though. And I would take most Italian women (before the age of 33) before Clotilde any day.

  9. I’ve had some very good hotel breakfasts in Guadalajara, Mexico. Been there 5-6 times in the last couple of years. Made to order huevos rancherso are spectacular.
