Keith you mentioned a few times in the chat how Niemann’s value was down and it reminded me of a report from a few years ago that Rick Peterson said the Mets were planning on avoiding Rice pitchers in the future due to the damage they saw to Humber’s arm when he got there. Do you think that’s fair given the results of the recently drafted Rice pitchers? Also, have you heard of executives and scouts from other teams feeling the same way?
Keith, i’ve been meaning to ask you where you eat while you are in Bristol. I haven’t found anything great in the area besides Puerto Vallarta in Southington on Queen St.
Jay – you could also try Chicken Joint on Main Street in Plainville. They just opened, but they make a pretty good pulled chicken BBQ sandwich. Another pretty decent place is Uncle Sam’s on Middle Street in Bristol (practically right across from ESPN). They make your standard burgers and fries and some decent basic Italian food too (lasagna, ravioli, etc).

I have this one about once a month. Can anyone say if it seem less believable when you’re the kind of person who had almost perfect college attendance? I was never really sure if it made a difference.

What do you think of Brian Schlitter, whom the Cubs just obtained in exchange for Eyre? He’s got good numbers, but I have the feeling that the good prospects are starters, not relievers, in A-ball.
