I’m heading to Arizona Monday evening, and should be able to hold a chat on Thursday at the usual time, the same morning the new Future Power Rankings are released on ESPN.com. As always, I’ll tweet the chat link that morning.
Plea for a rant, or at least a chat comment: The expected loss of Medlen and Beachy forced the Braves to take a flier on Ervin Santana. Injuries stink, but they happen to everybody, so I can deal with that part of the equation. But I hear the Braves will lose a first round draft pick for said flier on Santana. How is that fair? Weren’t the injuries punishment enough? It’s not like Santana is a sure thing. I guess the Braves will get a pick for losing McCann, but it feels like this weird compensation system has hurt mid-market teams more than it has helped them, and it definitely hurts free agents.
Love the tab on your page on ESPN.com that makes your chat archive easy to find for non-techies like me.
Thanks for all your good work.
