Hey Keith, My wife and I are headed up to Boston this weekend to take in a Red Sox game and eat some good food. Any suggestions? I think we’re staying in Cambridge. Thanks!
Do you know where in Cambridge? Two great dives in Harvard Square are Mr. & Mrs. Bartley’s (burgers) and Pinocchio’s (pizza), both of which are local icons. Cheap and lowbrow, but I love it. I’ve never been to Chez Henri, which is just north of Harvard Square, but it gets good reviews and is one of the top fine dining options in Cambridge. Anyway, tell me where you’re staying and I can make better rec’s.
Grafton St pub in Harvard Square has decent food and a very good beer selection. Toscanini’s Harvard Square location is closed, I think, but their location between Central Sq and MIT is still open, and I think it’s the best ice cream in Boston. Haven’t been to Emma’s Pizzeria near MIT, but it gets rave reviews. I’d definitely check out the Pour House on Boylston, downtown, one subway stop from the ballpark, for Sunday breakfast – it’s a bar that happens to make a hell of a pancake. Will post others as I think of them…

Hi Keith,
Thanks for the response. We are staying just outside Harvard Square on Prospect Street. Between there and MIT.
