Draft content.

Posted on May 30, 2008 · 7 Comments

My predraft content is starting to appear on ESPN.com today, so for those of you waiting for it, here are links to what’s up already. I’ll update this post as more content appears; there are reports on most of the top prospects coming, I assume later in the day.

Also, I’ll be on ESPNEWS today (Friday) from 4:10-4:30 pm EDT in the Insiders segment.

If you have questions related specifically to those articles, please ask them in the Conversations on ESPN.com rather than here.

Keith, does your updated top 75 prospects list pretty much represent the order of the draft if you were hypothetically picking for each team? If not, have you ever done / will you do a mock draft of what you think each team should do so that it can be compared to your first round projection and also to what actually occurs on Thursday?

Keith, do you know of any good recipes for Southern/country biscuits that don’t use shortening? Thanks.

  3. keith on May 31st, 2008 10:28 pm

Aaron: Just use 100% butter as a substitute. They’ll be soft, but they’ll taste good. Or use lard, or a trans-fat-free shortening, which usually has more saturated fat as a consequence but won’t get the food-Nazis coming into your kitchen. I use shortening myself.

H: It’s not quite that simple, as there are some players I have ranked where they belong in terms of ability, but whom I wouldn’t take because of specific risk factors. I don’t think I’d do an article like you suggested; it sounds kind of know-it-all-ish, more than I’m even comfortable with.

Good stuff Keith. Are you going to be on BBTN (ie, making it watchable) before the draft at all to discuss stuff, or will it just be on draft day?

    Hey Keith,

I am lactose intolerant and would love to do a homemade buttermilk pancake as opposed to a mix. Can you suggest a substitution for butter milk

  6. keith on June 2nd, 2008 1:01 pm

Ben: Substitute 1 cup lactose-free 2% or whole milk + 1 Tbsp lemon juice or white vinegar for 1 cup buttermilk.

Ace: I think so, but it’s not confirmed yet. I’ll be on ESPNEWS today 3:40 pm to talk draft.

    Thanks Keith. Love your work
