They also make horrendous neighbors, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/when-your-neighbor-is-a-farm-with-2-500-hogs-2f9e8dc2\">recent laws and court rulings have favored these factory farms<\/a> over individual homeowners\u2019 rights.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This is from last August but a Pew Research survey found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/global\/2022\/08\/31\/climate-change-remains-top-global-threat-across-19-country-survey\/?utm_source=pocket_saves\">American right-wingers are absolutely more insane in their climate change denial<\/a> than even right-wingers in other countries. Meanwhile, the planet may be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/environment\/climate-nears-point-no-return-land-sea-temperatures-break-records-experts-2023-06-30\/\">hitting the climate change point of no return<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Half the police force in Golden Valley, Minnesota, quit after the town hired a Black police chief. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/07\/02\/opinion\/half-the-police-force-quit-crime-dropped.html\">Crime went down<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Florida\u2019s various laws repressing educator speech <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay.com\/news\/education\/2023\/07\/06\/are-florida-laws-chasing-university-faculty-away-some-see-brain-drain\/\">may already be driving a brain drain out of the state<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And the state of Florida is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2023\/jul\/13\/florida-fines-voter-registration-groups\">also going after voter registration groups<\/a>, threatening them with thousands of dollars in fines for helping citizens exercise their constitutional right.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenation.com\/article\/politics\/moms-for-liberty-summit\/\">Moms for Liberty is an extremist group<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/4a3a3w\/moms-for-liberty-summit-ron-desantis-trump\">Republican politicians are lining up to court their support<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elon helped spread a conspiracy theory that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/93k34e\/conspiracy-theorists-and-elon-musk-falsely-accuse-student-of-being-fed-posing-as-neo-nazi\">claimed an innocent 22-year-old college student was a federal agent<\/a> posing as a neo-Nazi to infiltrate hate groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elon appears to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techdirt.com\/2023\/07\/05\/it-turns-out-elon-is-speedrunning-the-enshittification-learning-curve-not-the-content-moderation-one\/?utm_source=pocket_saves\">accelerating the enshittification of Twitter<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rep. Clay Higgins (LA-R) suggested that the government close public libraries and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/rachel-maddow-show\/maddowblog\/gop-rep-suggests-replacing-libraries-church-owned-alternatives-rcna76498?cid=sm_npd_ms_tw_ma&amp;taid=64a158bedda508000152accc\">replace them with \u201cchurch owned\u201d libraries instead<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sen.
