Iowa is ignoring the rules of our democracy.<\/li>\n<li>I was noodling around, looking for substitutes for cheddar cheese in a dish, and found two good links on the classes of cheese, organized by melting properties, <a href=http:\/\/www.finecooking.com\/articles\/how-to-melt-cheese.aspx>one from <i>Fine Cooking<\/i><\/a>, and <a href=http:\/\/www.lizthorpe.com\/the-families-of-cheese\/>one from cheese expert Liz Thorpe<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Scientists keep learning more about our microbiome, like <a href=http:\/\/www.npr.org\/blogs\/goatsandsoda\/2014\/11\/14\/363375355\/how-bacteria-in-the-gut-help-fight-off-viruses?utm_source=twitter.com&#038;utm_campaign=science&#038;utm_medium=social&#038;utm_term=nprnews>how bacteria in our GI tracts might help fight off viruses<\/a>. <\/li>\n<li>I know you&#8217;ll be shocked, but the 2014 All-Star Game <a href=http:\/\/www.startribune.com\/local\/minneapolis\/282360031.html>didn&#8217;t live up to financial projections<\/a>. Those projections are always pie-in-the-sky claims from people with a vested interest in the event. Ignore them.<\/li>\n<li>That video of the heroic Syrian boy who rescued a young girl while under fire? <a href=http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/blogs-trending-30057401>It was fake<\/a>.
