The arrest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/politics\/2025\/07\/ice-volleyball-arrest-eighteen-gomes-da-silva-milford\/\">mobilized the town to help get him freed through the legal process<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em> has the exclusive story of a \u201cbawdy\u201d letter that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/politics\/trump-jeffrey-epstein-birthday-letter-we-have-certain-things-in-common-f918d796\">Donald Trump sent to pedophile and rapist Jeffrey Epstein<\/a> on the latter\u2019s 50<sup>th<\/sup> birthday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Multiple police chiefs and sheriffs in Louisiana have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2025\/07\/17\/nx-s1-5471309\/louisiana-immigrant-visa-fraud-scheme\">charged with handing out fraudulent visas to immigrants<\/a> in exchange for cash.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ICE and Customs and Border Protection have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellinghamherald.com\/news\/politics-government\/article310497985.html\">held a family of five U.S. citizens in custody for two weeks<\/a> with no contact with other family members or legal representation. We live in a police state, but they\u2019re imposing it on us so slowly that no one seems to notice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Trump Administration also <a href=\"https:\/\/cbn.com\/news\/us\/florida-pastor-father-five-deported-after-two-decades-us\">deported a Guatemalan pastor and father of five who had lived in the U.S. for twenty years<\/a>. The people posting videos of themselves applauding ICE agents need to hear about these stories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Israel is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/resources\/idt-33fccfbe-abcc-4af1-bdd2-632b2787cf59?utm_source=Klaviyo&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=What%20A%20Day%3A%20Flood%20Fright&amp;_kx=bfgBd2tXIGQo90zdP4xm9wBU8-wnUbQpRId51pRl-Nc.VVEwpW\">destroying civilian buildings in Gaza<\/a> as part of its genocidal war on the Palestinian people. Greg Abbott (R) is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kut.org\/politics\/2025-07-14\/texas-elon-musk-greg-abbott\">fighting public records requests for his emails with Elon Musk<\/a> because he claims they are too \u201cintimate and embarrassing\u201d to be made public.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hugo Award-winning author Paolo Bacigulpi said in an interview with Colorado Public Radio that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpr.org\/2025\/07\/12\/interview-paolo-bacigalupi-10-years-the-water-knife-novel\/\">the future is even stupider than he imagined it would be<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How stupid? The Trump Administration is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2025\/jul\/18\/trump-administration-destroy-contraceptives-usaid-africa?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other\">spending over $160,000 to destroy contraceptives<\/a> meant for women outside of the U.S.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>More stupidity: The Secretary of Transportation keeps lying about the safety of the New York City subways. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/07\/17\/nyregion\/nyc-subway-safety-nadler-duffy-hearing.html\">Rep.
