Her anti-medicine insanity ran so deep that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/crenzwyvpn1o\">her 23-year-old daughter just died of a treatable cancer<\/a> because her mother opposed her getting chemotherapy. Shemirani\u2019s two sons blame their mother and are urging social media sites to crack down on misinformation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gregg Gonsalves writes in <em>The Nation<\/em> about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenation.com\/article\/politics\/bill-cassidy-rfk-jr-cowardice\/\">the cowardice of Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA)<\/a>, a physician who voted to confirm RFK, Jr., knowing full well what the noted anti-vaccine crank would do as head of the HHS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A presentation for this week\u2019s meeting of CDC vaccine \u201cadvisers\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2025\/06\/24\/health\/cdc-vaccine-adviser-thimerosal-presentation\">cited a study on thimerosal in vaccines and autism that does not exist<\/a>. (There is no link between thimerosal and autism.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Vanity Fair<\/em> profiles Iowa state Rep. J.D. Scholten (D), who is running to unseat Sen. Joni \u201cWe all die some day!\u201d Ernst (R) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/news\/story\/joni-ernst-jd-scholten-iowa-senate\">while also pitching for the independent Sioux Falls Explorers<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Haaretz<\/em> spoke to IDF soldiers who say <a href=\"https:\/\/www.haaretz.com\/israel-news\/2025-06-27\/ty-article-magazine\/.premium\/idf-soldiers-ordered-to-shoot-deliberately-at-unarmed-gazans-waiting-for-humanitarian-aid\/00000197-ad8e-de01-a39f-ffbe33780000\">they were ordered to shoot at unarmed Palestinians trying to get food and other aid<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The University of Florida\u2019s law school gave an award to a paper written white-nationalist student in which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/06\/21\/us\/white-supremacist-university-of-florida-paper.html\">he argued that Constitutional rights only apply to white Americans<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Harvard hired a researcher to examine the school\u2019s historical ties to slavery \u2026 but when he found too many, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/news\/2025\/jun\/21\/harvard-slavery-decendants-of-the-enslaved\">they fired him<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Everything is bad \u2013 it\u2019s just as terrible as you imagined and probably worse \u2013 but a three-judge panel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2025\/06\/21\/nx-s1-5441035\/louisiana-ten-commandments-schools-court-blocks\">struck down a Louisiana law<\/a> requiring public schools to display the Ten Commandments. Your religion is yours; don\u2019t force it on me or my kids or anyone but your own.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.harvardmagazine.com\/2025\/07\/harvard-ai-increasing-energy-costs\">Your energy bill may be going up because of the AI bubble<\/a> as energy companies rush to build more infrastructure to support these greedy tech companies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.houstonchronicle.com\/politics\/texas\/article\/greg-abbott-summer-food-assistance-20389724.php\">Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R, of course) refused $450 million in federal funds that would have provided food to school-aged children over the summer<\/a>.
