Funny slightly related story: My daughter has a mild allergy to pine nuts, and after she got a rash from eating store-bought pesto, we took her to an allergist for tests. The allergist was Taiwanese, and didn’t know what pine nuts were. When we explained, his response was, “People eat those?”
